Aksel Schaufer is a bonafide Distortion Disco hero. You of course know him under his moniker Superpitcher - one of the kings of Cologne kings Kompakt. Master of the growing tune, evolving from synth strings or micro clicks into mighty dancetunes perfectly encapsulating the feeling of the heavy metropol of the post millenium years. This is the stuff that minimal techno thrives on.
First song is the legendary remix of The MFA's The Difference it Makes. If you don't like this remix, this blog doesn't like you. Sorry to be so pedantic - this is one of my all time top ten tunes. This remix is so immaculate, it should appeal to just about everyone. It still sends shivers down my spine when the bassline enters. Every home should have this record!

Second song is of the latest installement of the Speicher series - Lick the Pipe. Featuring an actual flute playing some melody a bit of tune, it is remicent of that Balkan horn section song by Villalobos which is soo hot right now. I'd rather take this Superpitcher song any day. It displays the great flair for a pop melody that always seems to lurk just under the surface in production of his.
